1. Why there is nothing to accept

UK law — regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 — requires your consent before a website stores information on your device or reads information already stored there, unless it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested.

This site stores nothing and reads nothing. No cookies, no local storage, no session storage, no IndexedDB, no web beacons, no fingerprinting, no pixels. There is therefore no consent to obtain and no banner to dismiss.

You can verify this. Open your browser’s developer tools, look under Storage or Application, and you will find the list empty for this domain.

2. No analytics

We do not use Google Analytics or any equivalent. We do not know how many people visit this site, which pages they read, where they came from, or how long they stayed. We accept the loss of that information as the cost of a position we think is the right one for a security company.

The web server keeps a standard access log, as every web server does, containing the address requested, the time, and the IP address making the request. We keep it for about 30 days and then it is discarded. It is used only to keep the site running and secure, is not combined with anything else, and is not used to build a profile of anyone.

3. No third-party requests

There are none. Every request this site makes — every page, style sheet, script, image and typeface — goes to the site’s own domain. The typefaces are our own copies, served alongside the rest of the site under their open licences, so displaying this site involves contacting no server other than the one that serves it.

There are no embedded videos, no maps, no social media widgets, no comment systems, no chat widgets and no advertising. Those are the usual sources of third-party cookies and third-party requests, and none of them is here. If a content blocker reports anything at all on this site, we would like to hear about it.

4. The enquiry form

The enquiry form does not send anything to this website. It opens a message in your own email application, addressed and ready for you to review before you send it. Nothing is transmitted to us, or stored anywhere, unless you press send in your own email client. The form sets no cookie and retains nothing between visits.

5. About the script this site does load

The site loads one small script from its own domain. It adds conveniences — closing the menu when you press Escape, filling in the year in the footer, tidying the enquiry message, and opening every answer on the FAQ page when it is printed. It stores nothing, transmits nothing, and reads nothing about you. If you block scripts entirely, every page and the navigation still work.

6. Controlling cookies generally

Although this site sets none, you can control cookies for all sites through your browser’s settings, usually under Privacy. Every current browser lets you block third-party cookies, delete existing ones, or refuse them entirely. Blocking cookies has no effect on this site.

7. If this ever changes

If we ever introduce anything that stores information on your device, we will update this page and put a proper consent mechanism in place first. We would not do it quietly.
