Residential Intruder Alarms
Detection designed around how a household actually lives, so that it identifies an intruder without generating false activations week after week.
A poorly specified alarm is worse than no alarm at all, because the household stops believing it. The usual cause is a system designed from a floor plan rather than from the way the property is genuinely used: the cleaner who arrives at five, the cat, the conservatory that warms rapidly on a sunny afternoon, the family member who returns late.
We therefore begin with the household rather than the building. We establish who comes and goes and at what times, how the routine differs between a weekday morning and a Sunday, and which entrance is used in practice. Detection technology is then selected to suit each space, and the system grade set to match the assessed risk and any condition imposed by your insurer.
What a typical installation includes
- A survey covering routine, pets, environment and insurance conditions
- Graded system design to the current British and European standards
- Wired, wireless or hybrid installation to suit the construction of the property
- Perimeter, movement and shock detection matched to each individual zone
- Part-set configurations suited to an occupied evening as well as an empty house
- The alarm’s own app set up, and its access controlled, on each household device that needs it
- Handover training for every occupant, not only the person who placed the order

How we tailor it to you
Part-setting is where a tailored design earns its cost in a domestic setting. A family requiring the ground floor armed overnight while the first floor remains in use needs an entirely different configuration from a household that travels for extended periods.
We also design for the exceptions: loss of broadband, loss of mains power, a forgotten code, and the order in which people should be contacted when the system generates a signal.
Monitoring is arranged, not operated in-house. We do not run an Alarm Receiving Centre. Where a household requires professional monitoring or a keyholding response, we integrate the installation with an accredited provider and manage that relationship on your behalf, so that you continue to deal only with us.
How it looks on the building
An alarm does not have to spoil an elevation you have spent money on. The external sounder is specified for the wall it goes on, not issued in one colour and fitted wherever it fits.
Our external sounders come in sixteen finishes. We will hold samples against the brickwork, render or timber before anything is drilled, and agree the position with you at survey rather than on the morning of the installation.

The choice is cosmetic, and the mark is finished to match the box rather than reproduced in one fixed colour — a green-lens sounder carries the green shield, a red one the red. Every finish is the same sounder underneath, with the same tamper protection and the same battery-backed operation. Where a property is listed or sits within a conservation area we will advise on the least conspicuous position that still satisfies the design.
