1. Copyright

All content on this website — text, layout, design, graphics, photographs, illustrations, icons and the arrangement of them — is owned by or licensed to FlexiScan Security and is protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and by international copyright law.

You may read the site, print pages from it, and download extracts for your own personal use or to evaluate our services. You may not reproduce, republish, adapt, distribute, sell or commercially exploit any part of it without our written permission. Where you use any part of it with permission, our status as the author must be acknowledged.

Our copyright in the documents, drawings and designs we produce for a client — surveys, system designs, device schedules and commissioning records — is dealt with in our Terms and Conditions. In short: they remain ours, and you have a licence to use them for the property they were prepared for.

2. Trade marks

FlexiScan™ and the FlexiScan shield device™ are trade marks of FlexiScan Security. You may not use them, or anything confusingly similar, without our written permission — including in a domain name, a trading name, an advertisement, a comparison, or as a keyword in paid search.

Any other product names, manufacturer names, standards marks or logos mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the equipment or standard in question. Their appearance does not imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation in either direction.

3. Company information

FlexiScan Security is a company established in the United Kingdom. All of our services and operations are governed by, and fully compliant with, the laws of England and Wales.

We do not publish our registered company name, company registration number, VAT registration number, trading address, telephone numbers, or the names of individual members of staff on this website. This is a deliberate security measure taken to protect our clients and our team, not an oversight and not an attempt to avoid scrutiny.

All information required by law — company registration details, VAT registration, our data protection registration, insurance particulars, accreditations and client references — appears on our written proposals, contracts, invoices and formal correspondence, and is provided securely on request to clients, prospective clients and their professional advisers. Nothing we decline to publish here is withheld from anyone with a proper reason to see it.

The same reasoning applies to our clients: we publish no client names, no addresses, no photographs of installed systems and no case studies, whether or not the client would consent.

4. Third-party material and links

Where this site quotes a British or European standard, a statute or a regulator’s guidance, it does so for identification and description only. Copyright in those documents belongs to their publishers — BSI, the National Archives, the Information Commissioner’s Office and others — and the authoritative text is the published one, not our summary of it.

This site contains few outbound links. Where one exists, we do not control the destination, do not endorse it, and accept no responsibility for its content or its privacy practices. You may link to our home page provided you do so fairly, without damaging our reputation or implying an association, approval or endorsement that does not exist. We may withdraw that permission at any time. You may not frame this site within another, and you may not present it as your own.

The information on this site describes what we do in general terms. It is not security advice for any particular property, it is not legal advice, and it does not form part of any contract. If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright or another right, please tell us through our contact form. Set out what the material is, where it appears, what right you say it infringes and on what basis, and how we can reach you. We will investigate promptly and remove anything we should not be using.

Formal legal notices, including service of proceedings, must be given in writing to the registered address that appears on our contracts and correspondence. Notice given through the enquiry form on this website is not valid service. If you are a legal representative who needs our registered details in order to serve a notice, ask through the form and we will supply them.

7. Governing law

These provisions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your own jurisdiction.
